Lync Status for one user doesn't change when there is a calendar meeting

Hi,

 

I am trialling Lync Online with an internally hosted Windows server Domain and MS Exchange 2007 server. I have Directory Sync from our AD to Office365 working properly and I have activated about ten users for Lync Online Plan 1. Their status in the Lync client both internal and remote changes depending on whether they have an appointment/meeting in their Outlook Calendar. But one user is always showing as available. I have tried removing him from Office 365 by moving him to a different OU and resynching and then adding him back, but every time his status shows Available unless he changes it manually.

 

Any suggestions anyone?
