Unable to Install O365 Desktop Applications (Small Business Premium)

Answered

Hello,

I am aware that this is not directly a Telstra fault however it if under the service you are billing this customer on.

When installing the Office 365 applications (Office 2013 applications) on 4 laptops I get a generic "Couldn't Install" error message. It advises that it could be related to storage or internet connection issue's. The HDD's have over 200GB free and the internet is stable.

After looking at the error logs it seems to show an issue with the Microsoft Installer (Error 0x64a). I have been able install alot of other applications that utilise MSI. Infact I am able to Install Office 2010 on these laptop's without any issue.

I have tried using the installer from the O365 portal as well as using the Office Deployment Tool - both produce the same error.

Any advice? Is there an avenue to call Microsoft support for T-Suite?

Regards,

Caleb

P.S. I tried to install your "24x7 Technical Support" only to be told that no one technical was in until the morning.

Re: Unable to Install O365 Desktop Applications (Small Business Premium)

The fix for the issue that I was experiencing was to run both Office 2010 removal then Office 2013 removal tools. Weird I know, but it worked.
