Unable to merge party into conference call when original call is transferred

Here is the teleconference scenario

Calling from an iPhone on a Telstra plan:
1. Call party 1 on a mobile number
2. Place party 1 on hold and call party 2, also on a mobile number.
3. Merge party 1 and party 2 into the conference.
4. Call party 3 on a landline.
5. Party 3 transfers the call to anothet person who is on a mobile number.
6. Talk with party 3 for a moment to let them know they are about to be joined into the conference.
7. Merge the 3 party into the conference.

At this point party 3 is disconnected. Party 1 and 2 are still on the line.

The same issue happens repeatedly on a number of iPhones tested (all with Telstra).

Attempt the same scenario using an android device, and all 3 parties can be merged into the conference successfully.

Is anyone aware of a restriction that would prevent merging a party who you originally call on a landline, but then that person transfers you to someone else who is on a mobile number that needs to be brought into the conference?

In our scenario, the landline is a switchboard, and the switchboard operator is responsible for transferring to the mobile user who needs to be brought into the conference.

This is a business requirement. Appreciate any input.

Re: Unable to merge party into conference call when original call is transferred

Hey Cosmo45,

I can appreciate your concerns with the Conference Call issues on the iPhone handsets and do apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused Smiley Sad I haven't heard of any restriction that would have been applicable where this call being conferenced via a fixed line to a mobile wouldn't work so it will have to be raised and tested further. My colleagues in our Business Mobile Faults team can be reached on 132000 (24/7) and saying 'Faults' when prompted so this can be resolved further.

Please do let us know how you get on having this tested and resolved further.
